04/07/2008 - Prolyte Rigging Training
With the rapid growing entertainment industry in Asia, the demand for skilled and trained riggers has increased. PAP foresaw such a need and took the initiative to hold its 1st Basic Rigging Training & Workshop last September.
The training received tremendous response and many candidates had to be temporarily turned away till the next training.
Dates are:

Plasa 07 saw the launch of the NEW Twenty Clamp™ from Doughty Engineering Ltd. The Twenty Clamp™ received an overwhelming welcome from end users and distributors alike.
Manufactured from pressure die cast aluminium the Twenty Clamp™ has been designed to eliminate truss damage usually associated with Steel Hook Clamps.
This neat and compact clamp has a SWL of 20 Kg and can be secured to tubes of 48 – 51mm diameter with just two turns of the Doughty knob. Luminaries are secured via a captive M10 or M12 bolt in the base of the clamp.
As with all major Doughty products the Twenty Clamp™ is CE marked and comes with full TÜV approval.

A sneak preview of the New Al-Track system from Doughty was shown at this years ABTT show in London.
The System received a large amount of interest with some very pleasing comments making the official launch at Plasa 2007 an exciting time to look forward to.
The AL-Track system is currently undergoing testing to ensure a smooth trouble free entry into the market.

25/04/2007 - Arrival of New CNC Machinery
Due to the increasing demand of Doughty products. Doughty Engineering is currently investing in a NEW 450 Square Meter machine shop. We have just taken delivery of 3 new CNC Milling machines and 2 CNC Lathes to help with this demand.
Our aim is to be able to increase our capacity and reduce our lead times, so to react faster to our demanding market. New special purpose Jigs and Fixtures are currently being prepared for the new machines. Accordingly we hope to have the new machine shop fully operational in the next 6-8 weeks. At this time our customers will start to see the benefits of increased stocks and reductions to our lead times.
We will keep you informed as to our progress, so watch this space!
10/04/2007 - Six Track Calculator added to Dealer Area
An excel based calculator has been added to the dealer area.
This calculator allows the user to input custom dimensions for a Six Track installation and automatically create a parts list, quote and purchase order.
